Amanda Golden

College of Arts and Sciences

Amanda Golden, Ph.D., associate professor of English in the Department of Humanities, organized and chaired the session, “Sylvia Plath After 90 Years: Accessibility, Disability Studies, and Pedagogy” on January 6, 2024, at the in Philadelphia, Pa. At the conference, she also participated in a mentoring event, meeting with emerging scholars.

Lise McCoy

College of Osteopathic Medicine

Lise McCoy, Ed.D., director of faculty development at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been invited to serve as a member of the on January 5, 2024. This advisory committee is a collaboration with the Association of American Colleges (AAMC), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), and the International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE).

Shebin Tharakan

While a medical student at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Shebin Tharakan (D.O. '25) published an academic paper on artificial intelligence, titled "" The article was printed in the peer-reviewed Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, made available online on January 3, 2024.

Rachel Morrison

Rachel Morrison, M.S., HEOP director, received her diploma from Baruch College after completing her M.S.Ed. in its higher education administration program. Her capstone project, entitled , was presented in December 2023 and is published online along with other recent graduates' work in of Baruch College. Jeannette Sordi, Ph.D., visiting associate professor at the School of Architecture and Design, presented her work on ecological design and climate adaption for vulnerable cities at the in Rome, Italy, on December 13, 2023. The mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, opened the event.

Francine Glazer, Ph.D.,, associate provost for educational innovation, was invited to participate in a National Academies conference held December 5, 2023, in Washington, D.C., titled, . She spoke at a panel discussion providing feedback on a draft framework for "Equitable and Effective Teaching in Undergraduate STEM Education: A Framework for Institutions, Educators and Disciplines." The panel discussion was titled "Supporting the Instructional Workforce."
