Susana Case
College of Arts & Sciences Behavioral SciencesSusana Case, Ph.D., professor of behavioral sciences, read from her recently published books and gave a brief talk about William Carlos Williams at the Williams Center for the Arts, Red Wheelbarrow Series in Rutherford, New Jersey. During the fall semester, she was also featured in readings from her books at The Americas Poetry Festival at the Argentine Consulate in NYC, QED in Astoria, Queens, the Cornelia Street Cafe, in New York City, the Annual Poets & Writers on War and Peace Reading at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center in Westchester, New York, and the One Breath Rising reading series in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Terese Coe
College of Arts & Sciences EnglishTerese Coe, M.A., adjunct instructor of English, published her third book of poems, , a selection of her satire, parody, and humor, by Kelsay Books on November 1, 2018.
Edward Guiliano
College of Arts and SciencesEdward Guiliano, Ph.D., professor of English, published an article in the Dickens Studies Annual: Essays on Victorian Fiction, Vol. 49, No.2 (2018). The article, a comprehensive review of studies from 2004 through 2017 of Lewis Carroll's life and art, was published on November 1, 2018.

College of Arts & Sciences EnglishElizabeth J. Donaldson, Ph.D., associate professor of English, delivered her lecture, “Psychiatric Disability and the Second Wave: The Mad Writing of Shulamith Firestone and Kate Millett,” at the CUNY Graduate Center, New York, NY on October 24, 2018. The event, which included a reception to celebrate the publication of her second book, , was co-sponsored by the CUNY Doctoral Program in Music, the Futures Initiative, the CUNY Disability Scholars, and CUNY's Master's Program in Disability Studies.

College of Arts and SciencesAmanda Golden, Ph.D., assistant professor of English, published an article, "Feminist Digital Pedagogy" in (Spring/Summer 2018): 42-43. The piece addresses a workshop Golden led for the Jane Marcus Feminist University Conference at the CUNY Graduate Center in the fall of 2016, and is part of a segment devoted to the event.

College of Arts & Sciences Masters Educational Leadership & TechnologyRobert Feirsen, Ed.D., assistant professor and director of the school leadership and technology program, and Hui-Yin Hsu, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Teacher Education, \nled three workshop presentations at 2018 New York State Association of Teacher Educators (NYACTE)/New York Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (NYACTE) 2018 annual conference, October 11-12, 2018 in Saratoga Springs, NY. The three presentations were titled, "Failing Forward: Teaching Organizational Recovery to School Leadership Candidates;" "Addressing the Challenge to Advocate for Educators using the Design Thinking Approach;" and "Leadership with a 'T': Integrating Teacher Leadership into Leadership Preparation Programs."

International and Experiential EducationAmy Bravo, M.A., senior director of international and experiential education, and Jim Martinez, Ph.D., associate professor of interdisciplinary studies, presented a workshop, "How to Grow Your Community Project Developmentally: A Conversation About the Challenges of Scaling Up!" at the in New York City on September 22, 2018. Bravo and Martinez discussed their projects, ranging from the creation of STEM-focused service-learning environments with one elementary school to a large scale multidisciplinary campus-wide initiative in Harlem, as well as the successes and challenges of bringing development and community engagement to the NYIT.

College of Arts & Sciences Behavioral SciencesSusana Case, Ph.D., professor of behavioral sciences, had her translations of five poems from The Splintered Face: Tsunami Poems, by the Sri Lankan poet, Indran Amirthanayagam, published by on September 18, 2018. Case translated the poems from English into Italian.
