Updates
In alignment with federal mandates to safeguard the integrity and security of the United States research enterprise, the National Science Foundation (NSF)—in partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)—has implemented mandatory Research Security Training (RST) for all individuals engaged in federally sponsored research.
This initiative is designed to enhance awareness of research security risks, ensure compliance with federal standards, and uphold the highest levels of research integrity.
Accordingly, the New York Institute of Technology (Ä¢¹½´«Ã½) requires all faculty serving as principal investigators, co-investigators, or senior personnel on all the applicable federally funded awards to complete this training.
To support institutional compliance, Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has implemented a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Attestation. Principal Investigators and other individuals identified as senior/key personnel on applicable federally sponsored proposals and awards, as required by sponsor policy, will be asked to complete this attestation as part of the university’s internal proposal review and submission process for federally sponsored projects.
Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ supports international research collaborations that advance scholarship, innovation, and the exchange of ideas.
Federal research sponsors have strengthened disclosure requirements in recent years to promote transparency and safeguard the integrity of the U.S. research enterprise. These requirements do not prohibit international collaboration. Rather, they are intended to ensure that sponsoring agencies have a complete understanding of the professional relationships and commitments of individuals participating in federally funded research.
